Going postal…or just going online?

‘Going postal’ is an American slang term meaning to suddenly become extremely and uncontrollably angry, possibly to the point of violence. The term might also aptly describe how many members of the public might feel as a result of the postal strike which means that door-to-door deliveries are going to be disrupted if not suspended for the next week or so. What if you have important post that you need to send or receive?

Personally, it means a few books and CDs from eBay and Amazon might not show up for a while, but never mind, I’ve got plenty of other stuff to read and listen to. But how about all those people who are awating important legal documents like passports or insurance certificates. Needless to say - but I will say it anyhow - just one of the advantages of being with an online insurance company like swiftcover.com is that you can view and print off your cover note online.

The Guardian
, The Times and the BBC are all handily providing guides to ‘What does the postal strike mean for me’ as yet they miss out this important aspect!
