The Governments campaign ‘ACT ON CO2′ aims to help people save money, save energy and reduce their CO2 emissions. It is a cross-government initiative and has been backed by an investment of £3m.

The Department of Transport are involved in this initiative and are giving drivers advice on how to reduce their cars CO2 emissions at the same time as reducing their cars running costs. They have also carried out a ‘Best on CO2′ car ranking so that we can see which cars are the most environmentally friendly.

Fuel efficiency tips are also being built into the practical driving test with examiners giving candidates feedback at the end of their test on how economical their driving was. It is purely an educational tool and the results will not be used to pass or fail them.
